Eat more veg and less meat
The livestock sector (raising cows, pigs and chickens) creates as much greenhouse gas emissions as all cars in the world combined. To add to this, millions of square kilometres of forests have been cut down for grazing pastures, creating a compounding issue.
We can’t advocate that everyone completely stops eating meat tomorrow, but we all become more ‘meat consciousness’ and try to reduce the level of meat in our diets. Changing to more plant-based foods is vital in order to fight climate change, soil, air and water pollution. If we can eat less meat and dairy, we can have a massive impact on both our societies health and the health of the planet.
